Note: inMotion and VIGIL are under development. Test and preview versions are not intended for production-critical processes and do not replace review by qualified personnel, manufacturer specifications, or company safety and maintenance processes.

Documentation

Setting up inMotion – step by step.

This documentation describes the planned onboarding process and grows with the product. Features that are not yet finally available are marked as planned or in preparation.

1. Getting started In preparation

Planned: After installation, you start the application and follow a setup wizard. A public installer is not yet available – see Resources and Early Access.

  1. Download and run the installer (planned)
  2. Start the application and complete setup (planned)
  3. Basic configuration: language, notification behavior and startup options (in preparation)

2. Connecting machines Planned

Connectivity via OPC-UA is planned. After a connection test, key signals should be assignable. The specific scope is being developed together with test customers.

  • Add machine: name, location, type (e.g. bending, laser) – planned
  • Set up and test connection – planned
  • Assign signals: errors, counters, current order – in preparation
  • Trigger test notification – planned

3. Interface and notifications In preparation

Three areas are planned: dashboard (overview), notification (attention), and events (log). Pop-ups and actions such as open, dismiss, or remind are in preparation and may still change.

  • Notification behavior and thresholds – in preparation
  • Priority levels (e.g. connection lost, error, warning) – planned
  • View and export events – planned
  • Optional export to Teams or network folder – planned

4. VIGIL ONE – engine in the background

When inMotion starts, VIGIL can run locally alongside it. VIGIL is designed to link machine signals and derive notifications – with a growing data basis. Many engine features are still under development. Notifications do not replace review by qualified personnel.

More on the current status: VIGIL product page and Changelog.

5. Early access and test phase

A Preview Installer is planned but not yet publicly available. For practical tests in a suitable test environment, we are looking for test customers.
